Anyway, I went to install Big Sur on it, again 2 days after using it and confirming this time that there wasn't any speaker issues on Catalina. how am I about to walk out of the Apple Store with a Brand new one for ~$1,800." i had AppleCare+ on my 13in so the extra amount that was due to pay for the 16in was like $82 or something. I asked if the 16in would be a possibility and he said yes! In my mind I'm thinking "holy crap, this thing's worth over $2,300. Considering he knew me and the amount of troubles thay I've been through, he told me he was able to give me 25% off the new MacBook I would be buying after this. I actually knew the manager there fairly well as I had a 2016 13in that had keyboard issues constantly. Thankfully it had been within 14 days, so it was still within the return period. So as any reasonable person that had just paid close to 2 grand on a Mac, I took it into the Apple Store. (I had seen videos of a 2018 MacBook having nearly the exact same issue).
I did a bit of digging and narrowed it down to having blown out speakers. At that point I was skeptical, so I stayed near my Mac for a good 10 minutes before it did it again. I went to check on it and right when I sat down, it went away. The HomePod was fine, it was just the Mac. I connected it to my HomePod so I could run both speakers at the same time, and around 20-30 minutes in, I could hear this extremely loud and horrible sound coming from my Mac's speakers. After checking everything and updating the 13in, everything was working fine, up until I decided I wanted to play some music. I had Catalina on it and kept it on there for a few days so I could check everything over before updating it to Beta 1 of Big Sur. I had purchased a brand new 2020 13in MacBook Pro (mid range $1799). Anyways, let me backtrack to a few months ago. I'm an iOS App Developer with a paid subscription, so this is a legitimate Dev profile as well. Note, yes, I am aware that this is still in Beta. So i thought I'd share my extremely shitty experience with MacOS Big Sur.
